Ready or Not.....

.....it's time to baby proof!  A person is never quite ready to baby proof until the time is right in front of you.  Ella is on the move and we need to baby proof the house.  I say that I wasn't ready but the thing is that it was more fear than anything.  It's a little more challenging to keep reminding Colin not to leave his capri sun or bowl of cantaloupe on the floor because a certain little person is now all up in his business and although it pisses him off that she's into his stuff, that stuff is now a choking hazard that I need to be on top of.  It's been on my mind a lot, thinking about how I'm going to remember to keep all the little things up.  It seemed to go by quicker the second time around, there wasn't that much time that she learned to sit up and then now she's crawling and pulling up on things.  She is definitely determined, that might not be a good thing.  My new motto is that she is my parents payback, she's going to be a handful.  It was pretty easy as first time parents, there weren't little legos and hot wheels cars and puzzle pieces and all sorts of itty bitty toys that a preschooler now plays with.    We'll be going through the toy room this weekend to move all the little toys into storage bins and moving the baby toys to a more accessible location for Ella.
