Today we went to my grandma's house for a family Easter get together. Some good company, loads of snacks and tons of easter eggs! It's a beautiful thing to remember years of hunting for easter eggs on the very grounds that my son is now hunting easter eggs. To make things even better, Colin did GREAT! He actually knew what to do. We did a little test run this morning before we left the house. I put empty easter eggs around the kitchen and family room and he took his little basket and very proudly went around putting them into his basket. My grandma considered making a little spot in the front yard for Colin to hunt his own eggs which would be hid easier but I told her that he's ready to hang with the big kids. Between all of us grandkids, there are 6 great grandkids with another on the way. Colin did great, he started with the easy ones in the side flower beds and then moved on to a jackpot loaded tree. It's such a huge difference from last year when I plopped him in the grass and threw eggs around him to play with.
